the site is owned by MOD and every so often it gets opened to the public as a P&P site. Thinjk this is another one of those.

I went this time last year.

Slab common is made up of sandy mud, very fine gritty surface. MOD use it to train for tank recovery, so there are old tanks littered about the place.

Lots of water, all in all good fun.

They also let the big military trucks out to play too.

Very impressive.

tis good been 3 times but verryyyyy sandy/boggy make sure you wash the landy loads the sandy crap acts like cutting paste and if ya leave it on it sets like fookin concrete

I took my old P38 up there on its maiden voyage..... and 6 months later when I sold (what was left of) it, there was still a few wheelbarrow loads of sand in the rear bumper......:D:D:D

I wish I could go but were playing locally at a punch event.

My first experience at Heavies back in the day.
