Hi guys, we replaced the bonnet pull cable on my TD4 but managed to lose the small return spring on the bonnet release catch. Does anyone know what size spring I need or where I can buy a replacement, can't find one on ebay just boxes of assorted springs.

Hi Dave
I have checked the Freelander section on Allbrit and Lrcat and neither show a return spring being fitted confused: Are you sure there was one.

I think it could be this spring of the catch - although I can't help with a part number

Yes it's the spring on the catch, there was definitely one on it. Might just have to buy a selection box of springs and hope there's one to fit.

The part number for the bonnet latch is FPS10007L, cost around £47 from Rimmer Bros
