Hi all I have a 90 pickup with a 200 conversion in it. It have started to get worse in the morning first start and it chucks blue smoke and miss fires with a bit of increased revs it clears and I drive 100 yards up the road and it's clear then I stop it at the shop and restart and it's like it never happened.
This only happens on first start up
Any help would be appreciated as I would like to get it resolved quickly
Cheers mike:)

could be a few things and more than one ,but valve stem seals are worth checking for hardening ,excessive oil from turbo ,removing intercooler to inlet pipe before starting may show and running engine ,also seeing what passes out of turbo with outlet pipe removed ,injectors can cause similar to with misfire till some heat is generated ,does it start on the key or takes a few turns ?

Do you think that over night the oil is seaping past the oil seals then if so do you have a rough idea what it would cost mate

Have to be honest I had the exact same issue and was relly worried. I used two bottles of injector cleaner over the course of two half tanks of fuel which seems to have resolved the issue.

Always rule out the least expensive option first!! :)
