I dont know the TD5, but as all those marks are uniform (guessing the last 1 has it too we just cant see) then I would say that's how they are. The marks all look to be above the ring sealing area so wont affect much to be honest. Why they are like that I have no idea.

The pics show similar marks, so I wouldn't worry to much. Hopefully somebody more conversant with the TD5 will be along to tell us its very important secret indent to give 10bhp more, but I doubt it.
