No doubt another no-brainer, but here goes. My steering groans when used at low engine rpm. People tell me that the steering box needs replaced (££££££), but I suspect the system needs bled. Looking at the manual Ch.57 p.10 it advises bleeding via a bleed screw, but where is the bleed screw? The manual is usually very comprehensive, so maybe I am reading it upside down......

it wont need bleeding it has a feed and a return so is self bleeding poor pump is usual issue,

They are a ££££ part as you say, but you may get a decent one cheap enough off a scrapper

Try dropping the ATF out of the steering pump reservoir and replacing the fluid. Might take a few attempts to get it flushed through. If it makes a difference, happy days. If it doesn't, well, your wallet will be raped.
