hi all, some of you have seen pics of my disco running a (i was told wer 2.5") 2" lift on the suspension flatdog 75mm arches modular rims with 265/75/16 insa turbos, (the bf mud copies) and 30mm wheel spacers

she had a nice stance but the arches looked far to big and i dint wanna spend 160 more notes to make them smaller! so instead ive opted for the far more expensive route of bigger...after all bigger is better plus the insas had horrendous road noise and wobble that drove me nuts on a daily basis

so i bought myself 5 brand new hankook dynapro mts. same as on my trayback and i got them in 315/75/16 i also got them at a bargain price which is also a plus :)

so they drive 100% better nowere near as much noise or any wobble atall. and also make the arches look like i needed them! bit of a bugger getting the spare on though needed to move the wheel mount about 3" up the door so may find another home for that at a later date.

anyways theres no way im going to offroad as it stands now because ill destroy the bodywork it rubs ever so slightly with a full car around corners, ( i would have been happy with this in my previous scooby) so ive bought 2" body lift spacers and bolts, i no i have to extend rad pins and seatbelt anchors. and ill do the transfer box lever aswell. but is there anything else i need to watch out for....brake lines obviously and fuel lines ... any tips?

i have done lots of searching but not found much in the way of a definitive this is what it took to do this job.

thanks in advance and heres a pic or 3 for you all

Nice truck.

Similar in purpose to my own. 2" lift and 2" spring spacers, 75mm Arches, 315/70/17 BFGs (34.4" compared to yours at 34.6") and in these photos, 30mm wheel spacers.

I can't help with the body lift but these photos should give to an idea of how yours will look.

BTW, the outline of the 75mm arches and the 50mm arches are pretty much the same but because the 75s project more, they sit lower and sit closer to the tyres. I know this for a fact as I've recently sold my spacers and bought a set of 50mm arches. I've done the fronts and the outline is identical but I've had to cut off 20mm around the arches to fit them!

Don't forget you can sell the arches and put this to a new set if need be.

:):):)

That looks awsome. I like it alot. I've considers sellin them for the smaller arches but couldn't get the conformation on same sizes. Thanks for the reply. :)

Flatdog are completely useless at communication and frankly don't deserve to be in business. They are by far the worst LR company I've ever dealt with.

This is the thread I started a while ago - just noticed you posted on that one.

The fronts are the same but the holes don't match. Filled the old holes with pop rivets. Haven't done the rears yet - they'll be a pig!! Give me a PM in a week or so and I'll let you know how I got on.

Trimming more off of the rear doors I guess? Will be nothing left lol! How have you filled
The gaps? I've stuffed it all with expanding foam. Sanded flush then under sealed looks quite neat if you take your time!

looks really well that.. like your taste ...:) what front spots you running on the bumper ?

How did you find doing the body lift. I have a two post lifts to do it on. just wondering what sorta time it takes. Any tips etc.?
2 people about 3 hrs..rear seat belt mounts can be a pain..
loosen off steering ujs...you will have to lower the fuel filter housing

rear bumper i moved up on mine and also moved the front bumper up by 2" aswell

After much fecking about. I wish I had gone for the bigger lift. 2" looks awsome but there didnt seem to be much more to do to fit the bigger spacers. But I'm fairly happy with the results.

a body lift bigger than 2" you will be right at the end of the steering collum uj shafts i wouldnt be happy with that, then your rad will be higher than the viscous fan

The rad sits on the chassis. So will stay in same place. And the steering column just needs abit of cutting and sleeving... Easy jobs really

so heres a pic or 2 of the body lift fitted

got 666 on the axel twist with both anti roll bars still attached and the springs fixed in place as no relocation cones
