Anyone bored their 200/300TDi out to 2.8Litres?

Was told yesterday it's a simple mod to increase performance.

Also anyone heard of machining the fuel pump to keep off boost fuel standard?
 
Think you can get 2.8 crank / rods & Pistons from the ??????international TGV?????? 2.8 that's an evolution of the '300 design :confused:

To bore 300cc is quite a lot (example of a ford 2l 'Pinto' from cortina Capri etc. Takes a .090" bore to be called 2.1 but actually around 2.080l or thereabouts) is there sufficient wall thickness in the block to accept this? Also what head gasket would you use? (Or would you be using floating fire-rings with wire or wills rings in a modded standard gasket :cool:
