Hi all, I've put a deposit down on a 1985 Defender. Really excited (I've wanted one for ages), but also a bit apprehensive as I don't know much about them. Hoping I'll be able to ask very basic questions here and learn quickly!

It's the wading plug hole....

Don't worry the rain drips back out the holes in the floor....

150amp gas mig or bigger is best....

Can't be right! Take it back and have the leaks installed as optional extras.

Hello and welcome, looking forward to some pics and daft questions and to also pre-empt yes you do need spacers if you want alloys unless your axles have been swapped to latter ones, 265 75 16's and a noise like a handful of marbles in a biscuit tin is normal
