hi guys ive got a problem my battery light is on the dash all the time now ive tested the batery and alternator its charging fine and starts first turn every morning .........ANY IDEAS PLEASE IT DRIVE ME MAD

right mate ive just dropped the tester on the batery the battery is new which ive tested and it says good when i turn the engine on it charges to 14v and when i rev the engine it goes up slightly by the way the battery light on the dash is only aluminated slighty but deffo on ! ANY IDEAS

12v comes via ignition switched supply to the dash bulb and into the alternator. When the alternator is running the battery and alternator supply will be equalised so the bulb has 12v/14.4v feed both sides, so no potential difference = no light.
If the bulb has somehow earthed somewhere it could be running the bulb no matter what, could also be the diode on the circuit within the alternator - a new diode pack would probably solve that.
