Hi

I was wondering if anybody could help. I've just fitted a re-con auto-box into my 4.6 v8. This motor had previously a 5speed attached to the balanced engine and flywheel. Problem i've got now is the torque converter's out of balance with my engine.
I've been told that LR use'd to have to balance many of its 4.6 range rovers at the dealerships, using method not dissimilar to wheel balancing.
Does any body have any knowledge of this, and or where I could get this done?

I'm located in Herts, but obviously prepared to travel.

i've never heard of this!!!!!

torque convertor is ballanced at the factory, no landy dealer will have the equipment to do this

hi

thanks for your responce.
The story goes that LR had a permanent team of 3 travelling the dealerships around the country addressing 4.6 balance problems. This maybe folklore, but my source is sound, an independant LR garage (solihull based), with much direct contact with people of LR.

i think someone is yanking your chain, can't say ive seen a bulliten for this nor seen any ballancing problems
