Hi all i need some new tyres for my p38

my needs are 70% road 30% snow.

i was thinking of avon ranger sport 255/55/18"

any comments would help and price paid?

I always wanted to put Avons on a Rangie - Cool Britannia factor! Also the Ranger TSE is quite well liked in the US as per forums etc. Reckon the Sport you mention won't be far off. Personally I'm currently on Yokohama Geolander AT/S and I like them a lot.

take a look at coopers tyres as well,these are made by avon but they are very well priced.

Put Genral Grabbers AT2 on mine yesterday (£105 per corner fitted) - not driven far but does not tramline as bad as the old Scorpions that were on there (not dissing the tyres but they were very old and worn on edges etc..) - can definatly here more wheeel noise when the window is open though.

i used to have avon rangers on mine,very good wore well low noise, great price they worked out about 80 each from memory. now on enduro's bloody rubbish, wearing quickly you can almost see to the wear when you look at the fronts after each trip. crap grip. and hummmmmm! due to have them changed soon and i'm not moving from the tyre place till they put on avons again

had at2's on a freelander and they were great.. little more road noise but worth it
