Is there anything I can do to get this moving freely again or is it shot?

Look a tumble weed...I have tried soaking it in penetrating oil and working it just a waste of oil and effort apparently they have a nylon linner inside and the spring rots into it and be buggered if I'm even going to attempt to open it that spring looks well evil.oh well more money.
