Hi all.
Gotta a couple of questions regarding the cooler on my 300tdi autobox.
Going to be having a winch bumper custom made for the Disco and want it set as far back as I can meaning the coolers current position will mean its in the wau.
So firstly can I run it without a cooler and if not any suggest a smaller or different sized one that I could fit that takes up less room.
Maybe a smaller version of the engine intercooler that I could fit to one side.

Any help appricated

you need a cooler as torque converter produces heat as well as torque, ive had a cooler fitted to rad like the engine oil cooler but on other side,but perhaps a bit tricky with a 300 rad sitting along side the intercooler ,lr used quite a few types over the years ,including straight pipes to heat exchanger unit as fitted to l322 which requires coolan supply as well as the oil but could be fitted anywhere in theory

just mount it out of the way and where you will have air flow over it.
