Hi folks.
My 92 Rangie flew through the MOT yesterday, so that's the good news.
Anyhoo, I have lurch on take up in drive or reverse. I've been reading up on the threads concerning this and just wish no know if I've missed anything.
-check wee hatch on transfer box looking for worn pin thingy
-check prop shafts for play...maybe also prop slines or something?
-maybe shaft splines
There is one other thing I'd like explained that may help: When i jack up the front end there is a hell of a lot of turn on the road wheel before the diff engages with the shafts. You can rotate the wheel back and forth and get a clunk...clunk. The splines on the halfshafts are in good condition.
Advice?
