Test drove my 4th Disco 2 tonight, all going well until on the way back had a nice straight so time for the Welly test. Put my foot down but instead of a down change then off we go it revved right up as if it had slipped out of gear then eventually down changed with a big lump and we finally started moving. Slowed down to try again, same thing.

Got underneath when back and gearbox clean with a new O ring on the sump so obviously had something done, perhaps just an oil change to try solve an existing problem??

Does this sound like a walk away or perhaps just a bargaining chip with some work to do? Any ideas?

get a manual, then your in control!!
i have had 3 manuals, now got an es premium 04 auto, it's taking some getting used too!

manual, at least the engine breaks the car down hill, the auto does not, unless you change down yourself,
cost me £80.00 and an driver awareness course all courtesy of ****bria constabulary, or have £60.00 and 3 points!!!
