quick bit of help. V8 auto box position for neutral? I need to push it and can't find right position as it's not marked. Lever is the square type with button underneath

IIRC the sequence is Park-Reverse-Neutral-Drive-1-2-3-4.
You should be able to 'feel' each click.

Thanks guys, park being furthest forward throw of the stick?. It's possible to push in neutral?

If you're really stuck, you could always put the transfer box into neutral.

Possibly seized through lack of use?
Try squirting a releasing agent (penetrating oil) around the shift where it goes onto the T box. WD40 is not the best for this purpose despite widespread usage, Duck Oil is amongst the more successful products.
