Im sure this would help alot of people so does any one know if its possible to download the lanes to a normall sat nav system eg.Navman 510i

you can create your own, but you will need a laptop, some software and a gps receiver.
the best software for this kind of job is memory-map (www.memory-map.co.uk). you can buy photographic area maps from them, and then load elevation data to make them 3d. you can then overlay your gps coords to make a 3d route. you can then download this to your pda if u want.
you might also want to check out www.pocketgpsworld.com, which has some good pointers on topographical mapping.

And a Yorkie.......Er, does sound like a lot of fagging around just to see a picture of where you're driving while you're er......driving. Unless you like a soothing voice saying "turn left at the next sheep". Stoo, do people really do all that stuff what you said that I couldn't hope to understand?
