I am having difficulty finding a company to hire a 4x4 for a couple of weeks, needs to be something I can tow with.. Tried SHB but they don't provide insurance and my policy won't insure me for a hire car..

Any help appreciated... cheers!

The hardware shop in Auchterarder used to act as an agent for 4x4 hire - but can't remember which company was supplying the vehicles. Or as Dr_Evil says, try Turners or Nixons - they do transists etc with towbars. :)

Hea **** head i just did a search and found 21places on the first page and 8 that did 4x4, and that was long distance from America. So get your head out of your arse and do a damn search, and you can put 20 quid into my pay pall for services rendered

Easy Tiger ! or should I say '**** head', did google search 4x4 hire Scotland and the ones I looked at either had nothing available at short notice, only hired to companies with fleet insurance or were all prestige 4x4s and wanted silly money !

Cheers for the other suggestions, didn't think of a transit, will look into that, but are 2.5/3 tonne trailer's I need to tow.
Have my Disco to tow one but need another still..

GEEEERRRRR: Next time give all the details, but did you contact all that showed up on search, or did give up?
Short term will cost more money tell them 1 month with a second month option at your discretion. See where this gets you.
When you give full or all details you won't get the responses like this:D:D
