OK troopers!
Heres an update, eventually got round to tapping the two bolt holes.
The LH bolt seen in the OP had stretched the threads, I tried a re-tap with M14/2 tap, threads were shot.
Had to upsize to M16/2 and insert a helicoil.
It wasnt difficult, just needed to improvise the tap wrench by using a 3/8 socket adaptor and long extension bar.
The new bracket is £53 plus VAT, not bad but when you consider that the engine has to be dropped on the drivers, its a lot of work..... Im lazy

and too smart for that
Note the angle of the threads, had to insert the smaller tap to give me a guide to the approach angle, did it by eye.
