with a bit of luck it may be sorted!!! i have put a new battery on, bypassed one of the earths and put a new earth on!!! i'll need to upgrade the earths i reckon so if you have any huge earth cable hanging around with connectors it'd be appreciated!!! even throw in a packet of bourbons!!!!

A bad earth won't affect the charge rate the battery needs. More likely to cause faults on the message centre or poor cranking speed.
it would if it cant get the power in ther in the first place!!! had a mega scare, temp guage wnt all the way to red!!!! one of the earths behind ecu in engine bay was loose!!! fiddle with it and tightened it up and temp back to normal now!!! i reckon i'm gonna change the wiring!!!
