Just had my renewal from Flux today, and found that the robbing B******s have added a fault claim to my policy and taken 2 years NCD off. The thing that p****s me off is that the accident was on the 2nd of this month, when some moron changed lanes without looking and drove into me. I spoke to the insurer themselves, and they say the claim is still open, and as far as they are concerned the 3rd party is totally at fault. Yet Flux who are just a broker, have decided that we are at fault and that we have costs of £1500 against us, and taken 2 years NCD off of us.

Unfortunately with the claim being so recent and still outstanding, this has to be left open until fully settled with costs recovered from the third party. The problem insurers have is until it's fully settled (Not just an admittance of liability) the third party insurance still has the opportunity to try and take you to court, deny fault, anything really.

With any insurer in the UK, if you have an outstanding claim - It will go down as that until proven otherwise. Once the claim is settled non-fault, you will get the 2 years NCB reinstated and the difference refunded to yourself.

It's in the hands of the insurers themselves, as the broker it is certainly not our decision i'm afraid, nor do we have the control to override their rules.

How is that fair? This is making getting a fair renewal almost impossible, as I now have an at fault claim on my file, even though liability has not yet been settled by insurer. This claim could take up to 6 months to settle, and in the meantime I will have to pay almost twice the monthly premiums I should be paying, it is going to be even worse when my other vehicle come for renewal. You lot really are a f*****g bunch of thieveing c***s.
