Does anyone know if I need a seal or just bond d the alpine glass on my 04 v8?.

I am taking the head lining out to replace it and will check the sun roofs etc while there.

I know I have a leak on the rear alpine drivers side and want to do that at the same time. The alpine on the passenger side seems to have a rubber trim or seal but the driver side seems bonded.

I have looked for parts but cant find any so I’m not sure.

thanks

Thank you, is there a rubber trim that goes over the top then?, as I’m sore the other alpine window has some rubber trim or something.

thanks that makes the job easier and quicker then

That will be the rubber beading/strip that infills the gap between the class and the roof, I expect LR call it a ‘finisher’.

Great does anyone have the part number for the beading strip? It’s an 04
Hi, the parts list doesn't show a finisher for the alpine glass, only for the top of the windscreen. I've just had a quick look at mine & it looks like there is a rubber seal (& mines perished, perhaps it only comes with new glass ?). The rear side windows look to have the same set up. I had a very small weep on one of my alpine windows which I used Sikaflex 221 on.
Just had a look ad the D1 parts list & it shows a 'weatherstrip' for the alpine windows but I'm not sure if the windows are the same. Part no's for the seals for the D1 are:-
L/H AWR1147 £62.52
R/H AWR1146 £55.81

Thanks Andy that’s what I want to know. Then I will sikaflex it in and just run a bead into the gap and flatten it after. Will be grand.
