Hi, yesterday cd changer decided not to play ball,just kept saying 'No Disc'. Tried reloading and it says cd check but then 'No Disc'. Discs are proper cds ( not copies ) and in the right way.After uncoupling unit a few times it loaded correctly and played as normal. Today back to 'No Disc' .It is an Alpine xqe100240 out of a 2000 dhse.Any help on repair/exchange or buying another unit would be a great help, i cant live without my UB40

i have the same problem with my original cd changer in my p38 (1996 ) ..

did you manage to sort out your "no disc"? min is doing exactley the same and have not had much joy either.
please let me know if you get a solution to the problem,

i've been told that the only solution is to fit another unit , but it's a bad news ...

Me too, has anbody found a stockist other than a main dealer type

i dont want to gloat but mine works perfect!!! about the only feature that does at the moment but the head unit is bo lax. i was fiddling about behind the unit as spkrs were not working, noticed the lead for cd changer is quite tight and pulls out easy, also the plugs for the head were a but shabby, try making sure all wires are connected and seated in the plugs properly.

Good point but had checked already. Currently looking for a new unit. Anybody fitted anothe rmodel to their vehicle using the oringinal head ?
