Hi,
Looking to buy a set of 5 alloys & tyres for my 2000 Td5. Would be happy to buy some used ones if anyone has a set for sale? Will any type of disco alloys fit?
I've bought the 110 with the intention of kitting her out for extended trips but haven't owned a Landy since 1980 when I stripped and rebuilt a lightweight. Things seem to have changed a bit since then so I'll probably need a lot of help and advice over the coming months.

Being a TD5 defender it could be the older wider stud pattern OR the newer closer pattern. My defender is the old style pattern. The quickest way of telling is with a standard disposable type cigarette lighter. If you put it between 2 wheel studs if it reaches the centre of the 2 studs then you need the newer type (TD5) Disco wheel. If it only just reaches the studs then you want older defender (up to 300tdi), classic range rover and disco 1 style. I bought my TD5 and then had a heart attack when I realised my beloved mach 5's may not fit. Luckily they do.

Any Defender wheel will fit, and any TDi Discovery or Classic Range Rover.
Defenders didn't change to the "newer" stud pattern, so ignor Ratty's first sentence, that only applies to Discoveries.

Spot on for Discoveries though. I like you tip of using a disposable lighter to identify them.
It would be even more useful if I smoked and carried a lighter with me!

twas the only thing I had on me to measure some alloys acouple of years ago and it has kinda stuck in my head and been used a fair few times since.
