Hi guys, so after looking through some threads I can’t find anything that helps, so here’s my story.
I bought a Disco 3 as an MOT failure....one of the failures was a lower arm bush.
I bought and fitted two arms and fitted them with a new bolt set...also track rods and ends on both sides too.
I took it to my local tyre shop who I’ve been using for years, never an issue.
They have the Hunter system. He spent hours on it and simply couldn’t get the o/s front to align (see attached pic)...and pointed out that the cam bolt washer was spinning on the bolt.
I took the car away and fitted another new bolt....this time I took it to a Land Rover specialist and he farmed it out to another local tyre shop (also Hunter system) and he’s done the same thing in ruining the bolt.(he said the bolt isn’t man enough)
Weird that it’s the same side?
the car was driving dead straight previously and it’s never been involved in an accident.
Now I’m no expert, but I’m thinking that maybe the cam bolt has been turned without loosening the other arm bolts first ?
anyone else have any experience on this ?...ideally a solution.
the arms and bolts are Borg and beck parts.
Many thanks
