Hi Guys,

My car will not make the alarm beeps on the second lock, it will only make the two beeps when a door is ajar.

It used to beep on the second press of the button when I first bought the car but just recently it has stopped.

What do you think is causing this?

I would just d/c the alarm multi plug altogether and not worry about it. I did on mine.

If i have trouble starting the vehicle with the key fob, imagine someone without it trying to start it. Old P38 saying, if the owner can't start it with the key then what hope does the token car thief have?!

If you heard a car alarm go off in the middle of the night would you get out of bed to peep through the curtains? Keeps the insurers happy though.

The settings for what flashes and what noises are made are in the BECM.So possible BECM is getting forgetful in its old age.Need a diagnostic tool capable of reading BECM settings to see what is set.
