The backlight on the aircon controll unit on my disco keeps going out, then for no apparent reason comes back on again. When this first started reseating the ribbon cable that joins the two pcb's solved the problem. That doesn't work anymore The bulbs are OK as the light does work from time to time. I am thinking the ribbon cable is on it's way out, anyone know if I can get a replacement and what the LR part No is please? Any other tips/advice greatly appreciated.

Turns out it is not the ribbon cable after all! On the back of the unit there are three plugs, waggling the wires into the white plug brought the light back on. Seems like one of the connections or wires in this plug is flaky. No dry joints on the pcb so looks like I will have to find the flaky wire/connection and repair that. So all the previus times I reseated the ribbon cable how I really was solving the problem was by reseating this plug...ho hum...
