Hi,im getting my brother to re gas my air con for me in my 2000 freelander and i need to know how much gas goes in/what pressure??can anyone help please??

theres normally a gauge on the regas can.

not quite that simple,its not a can its a larger unit that main dealers use so think its only got a psi gauge on it??

Its done by weight, you should have a plate on the car that says how much gas should be in it. If it empty you need to put that wieght of gas into the system. You need a good set of scales with the cylinder sat on it so you can see when the right amount of gas has gone in.

I agree with him, but you must full empty the system 1st, using a vacume (not a dyson) then the plate on the engine bay will tell you the weight of gas to put back in.
