Hello, been a while ..
Had some welding done, head gasket, shocks, brakes, whatnot, passed MOT with one advisory item : driver's seat deteriorated. Not bad for an old beater.

Anyway, crawling up a cut through on my way home, had a disagreement with a low-hanging tree branch, which turned out to have a surprisingly convincing point :

Dent in the roof anorl.

Haven't called insurance yet, but I'm looking at Rimmer Bros (link) and they've got an aftermarket screen for 160.
Does anyone know if they're any good? Obv it'll be to regs, but I want roughly the right colour, and none of that black surround you can see in their pic.

Insurance got it. Driving around like I just left a war zone for a month till they can come out, but it's legal, so no worries. Hopefully not too much rain in the mean time.
Might get one of them there light bars as a bit of a saver. Any thoughts on that?

Similiar windscreen issue with my disco2. Driving along at 65mph and the windscreen top trim/finisher started smacking the windscreen before blowing over the roof.

Just before i decided to fork out on a new top trim/ finisher and windscreen i rung the insurance who are sending autoglass out to replace both items for the excess cost of £75.

Before hand I was looking at £300 for heated windscreen and £40 for the top trim.
