I think rubber perishing on a 10 year old vehicle is unlikely to be covered by any Land Rover warranty. It's owners would have had fair use out of the vehicle over that time. The bulletin I think applies only to older vehicles too, and would have had to been rectified back in the 90's.

I replaced my aerial (on a 3 door) just recently, and it was not too difficult to get at. If the rubber is in good nick, just removing it and cleaning might solve the problem. If not, I think they are about £20 for a new one.
