Its the diesels version of a "check engine " light
It is ment to come on with ignition then turn out! Its like a self test, but as yours comes back on you must have a fault somewhere in the engine electrics

Just got it home, very sluggish on the hill's. Let it stand for 5 minutes and checked under bonnet, all seems ok, little bit of fresh oil around turbo though.. Start her back up again and light did not come back on again.. So seems to be ok..
Will take for a test run last tonight and see what it's like other wise it's time to invest in a diago. Tool.
