Disco 1 94 300tdi 5 door

Mine has no sunroofs and no bass speaker in the rear door panel.

Whilst at the scrappers recently getting extra earth straps ... the Disco I had the earth off has a bass speaker box in the rear panel.

Can I put that in my Disco ( just swap panels ) ... will the wiring be there?

At the moment there is a radio/cd player running 4 speakers. 2 in front doors and 2 far rear uprights.

Of course you can add the bass loudspeaker.
But is the wiring existing i don't know, does your headunit have the output to drive the speaker i don't know.

As you have had no replies I may be not alone... sorry

I took my panel off and there's no wiring in there for the speakers. So I'll leave it.

you could download RAVE and it would show where the wires connect

Interesting, i hadn't considered the possibility of a new head unit not being compatable with the rear door speakers, on mine there was one plug which fitted the back of the factory fitted unit which had nowhere to connect to on the new head unit (Kenwood)

You can retain the existing bass speaker "as long as" the headunit has a pre-amplified output (pre-out) and that's any make of unit Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony whatever..
