sorry to be a complete idiot,but is the a/con on or off when the switch is iluminated. i know the system needs re-gassing but with irish weather i have not bothered now i cannot remember. ah well,no point in being stupid unless i share my lack of wisdom

You ought to know how logical the P38 is......The light is on when the switch is off.

If only Carlsberg designed cars lol
