just joined the forum, having been using the info from here for sometime but didn't want to join until i was a defender owner!!

Just brought a 1985 EX-MOD 90 soft top, with the 200tdi conversion. its had 1 owner since being booted out of the army in 2002, whom by all accounts seems to have looked after her pretty well!!

its currently an interesting colour of green, but i intend to change it at some point!!

I'm ex Army, not REME (unfortunately) and don't have the mechanical knowhow as such, but i'm willing to learn and looking forward to using the forums to help me on my way!!!

Welcome. There's nothing better than a Land Rover for learning about mechanics in my opinion, plus all sorts of useful workshop techniques like unscrewing components that have rusted solid, getting the remains of snapped bolts out and savouring the film of EP90 that accumulates on the surface of your coffee.
