Just been out doing a bit of cleaning inside my 93 classic tdi and noticed a module under the passenger seat with a large loom going to it,it looks a bit like an ecu would on a petrol model only mine's a deisel. The modules got Wabco stamped on it.Any ideas what its for. Also under the drivers seat theres a bracket and a loom with nothing else there.Would this be where the cd changer would be from new if fited?

I thought i'd come across the name wabco before on abs but as you say it must be to do with the traction control as i've not got abs fitted on mine.

if you aint got abs mate then you wont have traction control as it works in conjuction with the abs .
i thought all rangerovers had abs from 92/93 onward

If it has not got ABS now,but the ECU is under the seat its proberly cos some daft tw-t couldnt fix it and put a standard M/cylinder back on it.

There is deffinatly no abs on it now as its got a standard master cylinder ect under the bonnet,As you say maybe it was fitted from new but has been removed for some reason.I will have a look again tommorow and see if i can find anything else to do with Abs fitted anywhere.
