hi, i´ve done search but maybe withh wrong words? (i´m finnish)
i have bought a 300tdi auto box disco without engine and autobox. i was wondering if i put in a v8 engine? witch engine should it be? and what kind of work should i be aware of? thank you.

if someone find thread with correct swap, i would be thankful

3.9 although I'd put in a diesel cummins or something if you can find one

what was the original gasoline v8 for 97 models? does 3.9 have complicated electrical engine management?

ok, some dude is selling 3.9 efi 1991 make for 2600 euros...but i think it might not pass exhaust gas regulations because it´s so old. and it is very expensive...

OT: how much about cost a 300tdi engine with all equipments in uk? and autobox?

get a like new one for £1000 on ebay, some guys selling re-manufactured ones

I'm worried why a good disco wouldn't have it's engine and box... what condition is the body and chassis in? Normally a disco would have it's engine stripped out when the rot killed it!

hi, it has passenger floor rusted (LHD) about 2x4cm and alpine window corners are rusted, also under the brake pedal.
