Hi again,

My timing belt mod arrived today for my 300tdi disco after belt had gone. After reading the instructions twice I still found it strange. The replacement crank pully has a lip - great but the replacement tensioner doesn't even thought the old one did. Also the new tensioner says to discard the old slotted washer and bolt and use the new short bolt which has a narrower lip on the nut. Jus wondered if anyone had any other thoughts or reasons.

new tensioner shouldnt have lip, it was this on old tensioner that wore belt side ,guides for belt are better on driver pulley, thats why later has them only on crank ,use new bolt too

Yeah makes sense. Ill go with the new bolt too cheers
