I've stuck a 300TDI in my series 2, with existing series 3 radiator.

The top connection to the rad is quite torturous, due to the 180 deg elbow on the thermostat housing exit.

Are there any options available for me to pipe upwards instead??

Failing that, might need to weld a pipe fitting onto a plate and make a new bit.

Dunno about a 300tdi but when I put the 19j in me 109 I swapped the thermostat housing over so I could use a standard top hose. Maybe you could do something similar.

can't fit the normal series/similar thermostat housings with 3 bolts unfortunately, the disco ones only hole two bolts to fix.

Just wondering if any other engines have similar arrangement.
