Hello people, I'm new on here. I have a 1997 Range Rover p38 2.5td. An just spend £1000 pound on new engine wiring loom, an clutch, master cylinder on the clutch peddle an abs break boost valve. I've put the engine in got it running etc. But now I'm left with a box behind the Ecu, a 30 second relay. That's what it says inside it.. Can anyone please help me an tell me what this is.? Many thanks jay..
 
Well there`s a glow plug relay in there and at that age it might have had a hot start fix kit fitted which would be about 30 seconds, hope that helps a little and by the way I`ve just fitted a second hand engine to mine plus new dmf and clutch plus one or two other bits so I reckon about £1100 worth !

Thanks mate, an yer I found out today that's what it is.
 
I don't think the car the engine came from had 1 fitted. As there is no wires cut in the loom..! The engine has only done 87 thousand, mine had done 24700. I may just need to have a look at my loom an copy the wires. Does it need this box.? As its starting an running fine.

Bit like mine then, fitted hot start kit other year because pump tired among`st other things ( bit like me) just put another donkey in it and left kit in place just bypassed it.

Yer I've just left it there an the wires.. I'll just wait till it starts getting lazy..:D:D.
