hi all
i have just discovered some dim-wit has remove 2 of the LEDS from my clocks. my question is can i replace them or is it new clocks time ? thank you
 
Probably removed them due to a fault on the system making the lights come on! AFAIK they are just bulbs so should be possible to replace.
 
ah see the problem is they fixed it but could not remove the codes. so profit in my direction. i would like them to work but it seems its easy to change clocks providing they are low mileage, mine show 125k , i think it may be easier to change LEDS than find clocks sub 125k so i need to know where to find or do i buy clocks higher mileage and swop LEDS ?

Dont worry about mileage. you have to re set with nanocom, so you set clocks to bcu giving you original mileage.
once you disconnect clocks mileage flashes.
whereabouts are you. i have nanocom and a spare speedo.

the BCU or the instrument pack will assume the higher mileage all the time...so if you replace any of these and one has a higher mileage stored than the real mileage of the car that higher mileage will be displayed and no tester can modify it

you better replace the LED's... it's a simple solder in job

Beg to differ i bought set of higher mileage for mine and i set to bcu which was considerably lower.
 
i can't contradict your statement cos i'm sure you are honest, happened to me before i knew that to put a higher mileage instrument pack and the higher value was assumed:mad: ... here is the theory from RAVE too:
Odometer update
The BCU can be programmed for one of two options:
l Option 1 – no odometer error warning.
l Option 2 – odometer error warning.
In order to provide an LCD flash request to the instrument pack via the communications link, the following inputs are checked:
l Ignition state.
l Instrument pack odometer value (via the communications link).
l BCU odometer value.
The function is only active when the ignition state is on. The maximum allowed value is 999,999 miles (1,608,999 km).If the instrument pack odometer value is greater than the maximum allowed value, the maximum value is assumed. The BCU odometer value is stored in EEPROM. If 16 identical values of the instrument pack odometer
reading is received consecutively, the instrument pack odometer value is compared with the BCU odometer value. If the consecutive readings from the instrument pack differ, the BCU odometer value is incremented accordingly. If the BCU odometer value is less than the instrument pack odometer value by up to 10 km, the BCU odometer value is set
equal to the instrument pack odometer value.
If the odometer warning option is enabled, and the contents of the instrument pack odometer value buffer is identical to, or greater than BCU odometer value ± 10 km, the BCU sends an LED flash request to the instrument pack.
In the event of a communications link failure, this function will be unable to operate.
