I want to put a 2nd battery on my RR.
Its a 1989 3.5 efi.
Is the best place to put it under the passenger seat and what is the best way to charge it.
I think i could put another alternator on or just a split charge system?

You can fit 2 batteries in the engine bay, no problem. We fitted a higher output alternator from a newer RR (so one with the electric seats and all that, they have a higher output alternator) and a split charge. It works well.

No need for a extra alternator. I have 2 bat's in my P38. Both run off the standard alternator. I also have a 20w solar panel on the roof. The system is split and only link up when the car has started, so you can drain the second batt and the car will still start.

do you have a wiring diagram? That sounds a good set up
