Afternoon folks,

Hope everyone is good.

Have an issue coming from the front of my 2010 l320 3l tdv6 sounds like its a wheel bearing but finding it difficult to determine which 1.

You feel the vibration through the wheel and can hear a whirring noise which is worse when left hand down. Left hand tyre is worn more on the outside.

Have jacked it up and there’s no movement when doing the wobble test.

Any suggestions on how to nail down what’s wrong with it and how best to sort? Thanks.

Had to have both mine changed at mot, jacked up and just spun the wheel, sounded like a handful of gravel inside, don’t think there was any wobble. Hope this helps

Hi guys hoping somebody can help with this one.

As well as the above there is a crunching noise coming from the drivers wheel when turned hard lock which I presume is the cv joint, can any body help throw some light on what’s happening? Thanks

Just to update if anybody was interested.

Put to garage and the drivers wheel bearing and prop shaft bearing needed changed.

Had that done but now the bloody battery keeps draining.

I think it’s the battery, looks like it’s the original. Getting 12v when it’s sitting, dropping down to 8v when starting altenator is putting out 14v when the engines running.
