Reet then the thread diameter measures 13.79mm which is 0.542" which is as far as were concerned here 35/64", the pitch is 1.5mm neither 16 or 18 TPI are anywhere near. So I recon it's 14mm fine. The spanner size is 13mm.
While I'm here the clutch plug is 1/4" BSPT which is 19 TPI and not NPTF which is 18 TPI.

Do you have any bike breakers near you? if so the G box and rear Bevel box drain plugs from an old BMW boxer twin will do ya. plus they got magnet on them to. I gues that means ther metric.

If you leave em in an you have a seal gone then the timing belt or clutch can get contaminated an fook up. I know one bloke that goes in for extreme offroading an has never bothered fitting either plugs an has never suffered any damage cos of it.

you fit them before wading or playing in deep mud and remove them straight after. There should be a hole beside those that you need to bung up to keep them in when they are not needed. Alternativly you can keep em in a cubby hole or summit and forget where you put em every time like myself.
