Does anyone know of any long term fixes for the handbrake on a 200tdi?
I've had the drum apart on numerous occasions cleaned up the backplate so there is no burrs to catch the shoes and cleaned up the expander a few times rebuilding with copper grease, it'll then work for a while then decide to stick on. It has also had a new cable as it was a little stiff, although I can't seem to make the cable short enough for the car.
It does get a hard life as it's my daily drive and gets used at pay and plays and green laning, I've got used to having no handbrake but mot time is nigh so id better get it working again!
