It started a week or so ago with all electric not working, thought it was a bad earth so removed all earths and cleaned before putting back, problem seemed to go so put it down to that.

Since then it keeps happening, only fiddling with the live wire from the battery will give any power to the car. It sounds like a relay or something is clicking on the top right of the engine bay. It also looses power on full left or right lock.

Any help would be appriciated, still able to drive it as doesn't happen 100% of the time and as long as there's no tight turns.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there this is a strange one ! & im no auto electrickery expert. I would start with the battery lead check continuity and even cut ends off & do fresh connections ! I would also go through all the earths again. The only other thing i can think of is the ignition switch area as this is the only place that steering would effect the vehicle electrics.
Only other thing i can think of is to try & locate the clicking relay and test it if poss if not replace it.
Hope this helps

the relay will click if youre cutting the power to it by wagling a dodgy wire that feeds it.

i think theres a couple of fusable links under the tape in the wiring loom near the battery ...that have been known to corrode and get dodgy contacts.

Thanks for the help so far, I'm going to remove all the covering off the wiring in the engine bay to find and check any fusable links, also going to put a new terminal on the live as it can't hurt to.

If problem still occurs I think I will be checking around the steering wheel for dodgy wiring, loose clips and everything else

Thanks
