Hi all,
Unfortunately I come to you with another question! Sorry!

I know that this has come up a couple of times on the forum, but I am still a little confused why I'm having these issues.

My 200tdi conversion is making a habit of getting hot. In fact, it's usually within about 5 miles after starting the engine. It is a discovery 200tdi in a 110. It does not have a fan fitted at present. My water pump is fairly new, so there should not be any problems there. I have removed my thermostat and put it in a pan, and it opens well. My radiator holds water but does have a pin prick hole so water leaks by one of the fins. I have flushed the block both through the thermostat housing and backwards through the heater pipe.

When I take the cap off after a drive, (after letting the pressure out), I have noticed that at times, it seems to boiling, with bubbles, which I don't think shold be happening. The gauge rises slowly the whole time I am driving, and stops just below the red and stays there, but I want it much cooler than this!

For some reason though, it still overheats. Now I know that the rad leaks a bit, I have a new one on order, but is there anything else that can cause these issues?

Sorry, I did change the sender when I did the engine swap to the one from the old 2.5turbo.

Also, there is no mayonnaise anywhere in othe oil, so what other symptoms would suggest head gasket.

pressurising and water loss,at the start ,eventually when the gasket blows fully youll know,is rad hot all over the core
