Hey guys first off id like to thank the forum for your help in fixing my window regulators, the egr blank mods and other tips on the maf sensor which help fix my flat spot.
Now my problem is I got up to head to work and started my td4 and had no gears. Theres no tesnion or resistance on the gear knob it just floats any which way. Was perfectly fine yesterday but today nothing its a 5spedd manual. I checked the linkage and cant see any problems everything is connected. Any ideas on what to check

Hi there. I have a Freind who had the same thing it turned out to be the selector spring (or something like that) basically it's what guides your stick into the gears from neutral. Try looking for a broken spring or look for somewhere a spring might have been.
