:( Just had new crank pulley fitted with a new damper and belts too. Belt that drives the alternator, water pump and power steering is now very slack but not snapped. Any clues what this could be caused by?
 
A crap mechanic possibly? Adjust it n then do ur own repairs instead of paying people hatfuls of money for a ****e job is my recommendation.
 
Either you've fitted it incorrectly (not hard to do - see the RAVE for proper fitment) or you have a prob with the tensioner. My money would be on the former as the latter is quite obvious.
