Evening all,
Following my recent issues I have now replaced the in tank fuel pump, along with replacing and adjusting the gear selector. Also put a new battery on for good measure.
Went to start the car, much stronger starting and you can hear it trying to fire, then just before it gets up to speed and is just about to fire up the starter makes a horrible whine, followed by a click, then nothing
!
Is this likely to be a bad starter motor? Teeth worn down and slipping?
Am I right in thinking the auto doesn't have a flywheel so that can be ruled out? But surely there is an equivalent that the starter latches on to?
Hopefully someone has been in this situation before! Winter just around the corner really want to get the thing going for the other half to go to and from her night shifts in!
Thanks in advance
