anyone know what the torque setting is for a defender 2.4tdci 2008 oil filter housing?

Haynes manual says 23NM
The housing itself has 25Nm printed on it
YouTube and forums saying 35Nm

I’ve currently tightened it to 25Nm....but any advice from someone who knows for sure would be brill....

The official factory workshop manual says 26 lbs.ft. As you say marked on the housing is 25.5 Nm which is 19 lbs.ft. If you exceed 19 lbs.ft the "nut" on the base of the housing "pops" so that is the max you can torque it to. I think the higher figure is an error in the workshop manual.
